Environmental Advocacy
We planted 1 million cashew trees in the gardens of the Batticaloa community to provide a ‘green cover’. Today, those trees bore fruit, and they were picked and sold by the 20,000 families that grew them.
Climate Resilience
Our Climate Change Research and Adaptation Centre models innovative and sustainable farming methods, educating our farming community.
Protecting Biodiversity
We uprooted tea bushes on our Endane Estate to build a nature corridor, reconnecting two fragmented forest reserves. Nature corridors restore ecosystems and allow threatened species a safe crossing between habitats.
Conserving Species
Our Bee A Keeper project is built on bee conservation and uplifting the lives of the community by teaching them how to ethically harvest wild bee honey for profit.
We cut and peel the inner bark of the Cinnamon tree
in our workshop in the forest. We naturally dry it using the sun’s heat, on suspended ropes closer to the roof, till it curls and forms quills.
